Sarah Nguyen grew up in Portland, Oregon, where her parents ran a beloved family bakery. She split her childhood between kneading dough at sunrise and sipping coffee while flipping through the morning business section. From a young age, she was fascinated by the rhythms of small business life—the daily challenges, clever marketing experiments, new competitors, and the constant need to adapt.
Our Story
Sarah studied journalism in college, driven by a love for stories that mattered to working people. After graduating, she joined a local business journal, eager to bring timely insights to her community. But she quickly realized something was missing. The pace was too slow for today’s entrepreneurs, and the coverage felt disconnected from what small business owners needed most—daily, useful, and real-time content.
In 2018, sitting at her kitchen table with a strong cup of coffee, Sarah sketched out an idea for a website that would deliver one smart, sharp business tip or story every weekday morning—just enough to spark inspiration over a cup of coffee. That idea became DailyBusinessPoint.com. She wrote the first month of articles herself, offering everything from practical advice like “Three Cost-Cutting Ideas to Try This Week” to engaging case studies such as “How a Local Café Uses Instagram Stories.”
